Today, the company employs a team of six people; working on global field trials and crop research.\u00a0<u><b>Ideagro test more than 42 global crops covering intensive and arable crop production.\u00a0<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look at crops and their development. We want to understand their needs so the world can continue to produce and consume nutritious food,\u201d said Pedro Antonio Palaz\u00f3n Monreal, director of Ideagro. \u201cWe began with small field trials in Spain with local farmers in 2011.\u00a0<b>Ever since, our research business continues to expand and we have built an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ideagro.es\/index.php\/noticias\/70-mycotoxins-effects-on-cereals-proposals-for-reducing-their-presence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">additional laboratory<\/a>. We are also looking to Asian and Latin American markets for future expansion.\u201d \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>One of the trials underway at Ideagro is based on Huanglongbing (HLB), otherwise known as citrus greening. At the moment the disease is widespread in Florida, USA \u201cIn order to prevent the disease we must first understand it and how it affects the plant,\u201d said Palaz\u00f3n Monreal. \u201cOur laboratories carry out trials and product tests, allowing us to find solutions for today&#039;s crop production issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe the largest threat to crop production is our finite amount of land.
