The international congress microbiome<\/a>, organized by Agromarketing and Ideagro, has established itself as the reference event for the study and dissemination of the importance of microorganisms applied to agriculture with an innovative format capable of bringing together scientists, researchers, biotechnological industries, technicians, producers and students in the same forum.<\/p>\n

During November 3 and 4, more than 1,200 professionals from 38 different countries have participated in the second edition of the congress in its face-to-face modalities, from the El Batel auditorium in Cartagena, and online through the platform agromunity.com<\/a><\/p>\n

The success of the congress makes it the reference event on the use of microorganisms worldwide, both for the high participation and for the scientific interest and the networking meetings. In fact, the celebration of the third edition of Microbiome has already been announced for the year 2023 with an innovative format.<\/p>\n

30 international experts<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the participation of some thirty international experts, the current situation of a sector facing great challenges has been analyzed in order to advance knowledge, technology and research on soil microorganisms, of which only one 2% has been identified so far, despite the fact that scientific studies have shown its benefits in stimulating plant growth, improving soil fertility or dealing with harmful pathogens, among other uses.<\/p>\n

For the technical director of Ideagro, Pedro Palaz\u00f3n, work must be done at the vine level. Development and research work must be focused not only at the genus level, but also at the strain level, since "microorganisms are defined more by what they do than by what they are, since each strain constitutes a diversity of potential effects and they will depend as much on the environment as on the specific strain."<\/p>\n
